Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are reportedly gearing up for the IPL 2026 mini auction with a clear strategy — retain their strong core while freeing up funds to strengthen weaker areas of the squad. As per reports, SRH are likely to retain captain Pat Cummins, along with Travis Head and young all-rounder Abhishek Sharma, who have been central to the team’s setup.

However, the franchise is expected to release Heinrich Klaasen, their costliest retention at ₹23 crore, despite his consistent performances since 2023. This move is seen as part of SRH’s plan to expand their auction purse and rebuild a more balanced side, with a focus on enhancing their middle-order batting and pace attack.
